We just returned home from the Baltimore Coin Convention and to no surprise things were a bit slower at the entire show.. Guess that should be no big surprise to anyone! considering the current state of affairs with the economy.. Many buyers & collectors are leary to spend hard cash, especially the middle-income . Those collectors who have lots of cash are still out there buying as they see an opportunity to buy at lower prices.

   So how is the error coin market? Still pretty strong, as sales were brisk at the show, considering the low attendance by the public. Not a bad time to start thinking about buying those coins on your want lists before prices start to rise as the economy recovers.. I think most error coin prices will remain at their current level and I don't expect to see any major dips in those prices. So here is the time, where you beat the next level of price increases as the economy stalls the Numismatic Bull. BUT when the economy starts to recover, look out as people will re-enter this market in a big way, driving up prices again.
