   Now for some Market Insight

   There are so many positive factors happening with in the Error coin hobby currently. That after conferring with several other major error coin dealers, we all came to the same conclusion. The Error coin market is ripe for a massive upward coin pricing adjustment. In other words: We expect to see major price INCREASES on error coins. Let me explain what we see happening, with in the error market.

   *Super high auction prices are being bid by numerious bidders. Example: In November a Blank type 2 Morgan/Peace dollar planchet (PCGS) sold for $7,400. The very next day, one of the nations leading error coin dealers had another Morgan type 2 planchet purchased from his inventory for just $1,200.. (Average price is $1,200-1,500) You think someone else is following these auction sales? In October 2005, a MAJOR dealer in the regular part of of Numismatics (not errors), purchased nearly 1 MILLION dollars worth of better errors from the Ohio State sale..We’re told they are planning to introduce many of their clients to Numismatic Errors. We are also sure that they will be displaying many of these fabulous one of a kind errors at the Orlando FUN Convention.. There is NO Doubt that many other major coin dealers will take serious notice of this fact & start wondering if they're missing out on a new Numismatic market. They will be wondering whether this so called virgin area of numismatics can be introduced to many of their clients also.. It’s here that a major price eruption can occur! With the introduction of TENS of Thousands of their clients to error coins and since they may start buying everything in sight at current retail prices. At WHAT prices? will they be offering them to their clientele?? I can ONLY wonder?

   Many other errors continue to grow in price, example: A partially dated 11c double denomination recently sold for $850, full dated examples sell frequently for $1,000-1,200. That $850. price is still extremely strong considering it is for a much poorer example. Even “common” off center Cents sell for well above $5. each Almost every error that cost just $10.-15 or $20 dollars two year AGO, sell frequently above the $100. dollar mark. Even some slow moving State Quarter errors have started seeing some major price increases and interest.

   Early Lincoln Off Center Cents are seeing major interest, along with Buffalo nickels, Washington quarter errors.

   Off Metals, Bow ties, major strike thru’s are all still extremely popular, as well blank planchets, Coin strips, defaced dies, Token errors and just about anything you can name..

   Also in January at the FUN Convention there will many lots of errors being offered at auction, we’re curious to see the activity there.. If it’s like any of the other major auctions during 2005, error coin prices have been so high, error coin dealers have been not able to purchase any for their stocks!
