The ANA winter show has come & gone and all reports was it was a very busy show. Error coins were hot, WHEN they could be found! Pickings were slim for errors even with lots buyers with their pockets filled with cash. Seems like a drought for fresh material is really upon us. It May be a good time to sell if you were thinking of it as in this market you can demand top dollar for BETTER Eye Appealling error coins.

    We expect this same market to contiue for sometime, with few sellers and many, many buyers looking to jump on fresh material. This will only fuel the ever growing prices of errors, some fear it will outprice the modest collector out of the market. Our advice is don't buying quantity, buy QUALITY! Instead of buying 4 or 6 $50. or $100. coins, buy 1 or 2 $300-900 coins, ADJUST to the market by selling off lower price material at the current high prices and reinvest the profits into higher priced better errors. This could be done on a regular cycle every couple years as the market continues to be strong.

   Diversify you collection, don't get caught up collecting 1 type or kind of error. Ex: if you've been collecting Clips or incomplete planchets for sometime. Maybe just collecting State quarters? TRY collecting Off Centers, Wrong Metals or some else in a different style of coinage, nickels, dollars etc. Just like stocks or bonds, a wise broker will always tell you to diversify your holdings, spread it out among different investments. Same with errors, not all appreciate as fast as others.. Watch what you think will be winners a buy a few, its much harder to ever get hurt this way. Especially if your afraid the market will stall! which we don't think will happen for years to come.
